TREATMENT FEE STRUCTURE

OPTION 1. For group acupuncture drug detoxification setting (5 CLIENTS MINIMUM for 30 - 45 minutes):

$ 10 PER CLIENT which includes ear acupuncture only.

OPTION 2. For private one-on-one general practice setting:

$ 50 PER CLIENT which includes body and ear acupuncture, acupressure, herbal prescription and pranic healing.

OPTION 3. For FREE group acupuncture drug detoxification setting:

$ 0 PER CLIENT which includes acupuncture services under job description.
This ideal option right now is unavailable due to lack of sponsors to fund a much needed acupuncture detox project. Consumers can contact their Health Regional Boards and voice their demand for such a project to complement the already existing alcohol and drug counselling centers and self-help groups such as A.A.

To make public group acupuncture drug detoxification setting cost-effective for government funded agencies, NADA certified acupuncturists who form the B.C. Acupuncture Detox Committee have agreed and proposed consensually to work for $25 per hour available five to seven days a week.

Note: A 3-month acupuncture pilot project for addiction management based on NADA protocols was proposed by the Vancouver /Richmond Health Board (VRHB) effective early part of 1999. For inquiries about the first official acupuncture detox pilot project in BC, please contact the VRHB, 1060 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6H 1C4, FAX 604 736-7389 for more information.

Please read Acupuncture Treatment for Substance Abuse for more information.

Please check also if your extended health insurance covers or reimburses acupuncture services. Pacific Blue Cross and CU&C reimburse acupuncture treatment from CTCMPABC registered acupuncturists. WCB, ICBC claims accepted.

Thank you for your interest.
